About

Hudson Yards is the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States. This $20 billion project includes more than 17 million square feet of commercial and residential space; 14 acres of the site has been dedicated to green, open space. Related Companies, which is known for its first-class developments, is continuing its legacy of bringing cultural amenities to its projects including a sculpture from the renowned Thomas Heatherwick and the Culture Shed, a flexible space venue for arts, events, and exhibits.

A New Kind of Yard

Soozan Baxter Consulting joined the small retail team in spring 2015, on account of Soozan Baxter’s strong relationships in the retail community and her out-of-the-box thinking. During her two-year tenure on the project, she focused on bringing unique retailers to Hudson Yards including the first Watches of Switzerland in the U.S. and the debut of Vitra Eyewear in New York, as well as many other esteemed contemporary and luxury brands. The 700,000 square feet of retail, anchored by Manhattan’s first Neiman Marcus, opened in spring 2019 to great fanfare and has far exceeded all expectations.
